Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide quick, effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and material usage.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
- Valid electrician license/certification (as required by local regulations).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulations.
