Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with HVAC systems, and a commitment to safety and high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems.
- Inspect HVAC systems and components, including ducts, fans, motors, thermostats, filters, and piping.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems using testing equipment and technical manuals.
- Adjust system controls and settings for optimal performance.
- Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, belts, and fans.
- Respond to emergency service requests and provide timely solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians on projects.
- Keep accurate records of service activities, parts used, and system performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification in HVAC preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, wiring, and refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Certification in HVAC/R (e.g., EPA certification for refrigerants) is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license (if field service is required).
